Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Navy’s Halilintar Task Force has raided warehouses storing illegal tin in Sungailiat, Bangka Belitung, seizing more than 130 tons of unregistered mineral products on Sunday.
“This operation reflects the Navy’s effort to ensure that processing and trading of strategic commodities comply with regulations and to prevent losses to the state,” said Navy Chief of Information Service Rear Admiral Tunggulon Monday (24/11/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
Three warehouses linked to a businessman with the initial A, owner of PT Panca Mega Persada, were searched. Officers found a total of 104 tons of tin in various forms, including tin sand, export-ready blocks, and semi-processed material, valued at approximately Rp 31.2 billion.
The task force also inspected a smelter allegedly owned by an individual identified as D, where they found an additional 30 tons of suspected illegal tin, worth an estimated Rp 9 billion.
