Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. West Java Regional Police announced a full investigation into an alleged human trafficking syndicate linked to the case of Rizki Nurfadilah, a teenager from Bandung who was repatriated from Cambodia over the weekend.

“The state is present to protect its citizens. We will thoroughly investigate and take firm action against anyone involved in this trafficking network,” said Senior Superintendent Hendra Rochmawan, theWest Java Police Head of Public Relations, on Monday (24/11/2025), as cited by antaranews.com.

Police are examining the chronology of Rizki’s recruitment, travel, and work activities in Cambodia, including the individuals or groups who facilitated his departure. He arrived in Indonesia late Saturday, escorted by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh.

Bandung Sub-regional Police confirmed he was immediately taken for questioning and medical checks before being temporarily placed under protection. Investigators are now tracking recruiters suspected of placing Indonesians in illegal online-scamming jobs abroad.
