Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Newly inaugurated Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Suyudi Ario Seto outlined his immediate operational priorities following his swearing-in ceremony by President Prabowo Subianto at the State Palace in Jakarta on Thursday (1/10/2026).
His focus centers on internal consolidation, improved public services, fair law enforcement, and fostering closer ties with the public under the "Polisi Bersama Masyarakat" (Police with the Community) program.
Chief Suyudi announced plans to conduct a comprehensive institutional evaluation across all police divisions to identify pressing operational issues and align actions with the police's overarching grand strategy for maintaining public peace and order. He emphasized that officers must actively present solutions when citizens face difficulties.
Furthermore, Chief Suyudi highlighted direct instructions from President Prabowo to target key criminal threats, specifically online gambling, narcotics trafficking, smuggling, and social disturbances.
The institutional roadmap will encompass short, medium, and long-term reform strategies to strengthen police performance following the transition from former INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, who assumed office as Chief of the Presidential Staff.
