Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) reported on Monday (25/3/2024) that nine people were missing following floods and landslides in West Bandung, West Java. Abdul Muhari, the Head of BNPB's Data, Information, and Communication Center for Disaster Management, specified that the missing persons were residents of Gintung Village, Cipongkor District. The calamity, induced by heavy rainfall since Sunday, has submerged residential areas in the Cipongkor region. Search and rescue teams were already on-site, employing drones to assist in locating victims. The number of missing individuals may rise due to the arduous conditions at the scene. It impacted 99 families, injuring two persons. In response, the local Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) have established emergency posts and communal kitches in collaboration with the Social Services Office. (mg/inp/pr/nm)
