Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Thursday (12/6/2025) that no Indonesian nationals were aboard the Air India flight that crashed shortly after takeoff in Ahmedabad, western India, on Thursday.
“According to the passenger manifest obtained by the Indonesian Consulate General in Mumbai, there were no Indonesian citizens on board,” said Judha Nugraha, the Director for the Protection of Citizens, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The Air India flight AI171 was en route to London Gatwick Airport when it crashed after departing Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. The Boeing 787-8 carried 242 people, including 232 passengers and 10 crew members.
According to Air India’s official X account, 169 Indian nationals were on board, along with 53 British, seven Portuguese, and one Canadian citizen.
