Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo on Thursday (12/6/2025) dispatched 700 workers affected by layoffs to their new workplaces, part of a broader initiative to address post-pandemic employment challenges.
“Today, we’ve sent off 700 workers, and in the coming weeks, another 1,000 will follow,” he said during the ceremony at the INP Headquarters in South Jakarta, as reported by antaranews.com.
The initiative is a result of collaboration between the INP Labor Task Force and relevant stakeholders. The workers will begin employment at PT Indonesia Dreamers Sports in Cirebon and PT Tah Sung Hung in Brebes — both labor-intensive companies currently expanding recruitment.
“This is good news, especially for those with relevant skills. These are labor-intensive industries,” Chief Sigit added.
