Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC Indonesia) has partnered with the French Embassy in Indonesia to promote the 2024 Paris Olympics, scheduled from 26 July to 11 August 2024.
"We are pleased to welcome guests from the French Embassy to foster cooperation for the Road to Olympics," said Deputy Secretary-General of NOC Indonesia, Cresida Mariska on Saturday (17/2/2024).
She explained that both parties discussed various programs previously discussed, ranging from photo exhibitions, athlete scholarships, to events commemorating International Women's Day.
"We will jointly determine preparations for the 2024 Paris Olympics and engage in sports diplomacy activities, which will also benefit Indonesian athletes competing in Paris 2024," Cresida added.
Counselor for Cooperation and Cultural Affairs at the French Embassy in Indonesia, Jules Irrmann, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration with NOC Indonesia.
He said that through this partnership, France, as the host of the 2024 Olympics, aims to transmit Olympic values to the Indonesian society through various activities.
"We will collaborate with NOC Indonesia to engage the general public in exhibitions and cultural events to understand the meaning of the Olympics and to disseminate Olympic values," Irrmann said.
He hoped that the collaboration between NOC Indonesia and the French Embassy in Indonesia would continue to thrive in the future, extending beyond the preparations for the upcoming Olympics.
"We are enthusiastic that this collaboration is not only about sports but can continue for the future, particularly as discussed today, such as the possibility of training scholarships in France, student exchanges, and more," Irrmann said.
