Inp.polri.go.id - Tangerang. The Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Sub-regional Police handled a dispute between foreign travellers at the Cathay Pacific check-in counter, Terminal 3, on Monday night, which was reported by Aviation Security staff at around 8.30 pm.
Officers secured the area and brought those involved to the Terminal 3 police post for clarification. A Mandarin interpreter was provided to facilitate communication.
“After clarification and mediation, both parties understood the issue and agreed to resolve it amicably without legal proceedings,” said Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police Chief Superintendent Wisnu Wardana on Tuesday (16/6t/2026).
He confirmed the disagreement stemmed from a misunderstanding related to past issues in their home country. Thanks to coordination between police and Avsec, the situation was contained, and passenger services continued without disruption.
Authorities urged travelers to maintain order and report potential security concerns immediately.
