Inp.polri.go.id - Kendari. North Konawe Regent Ruksamin declared on Friday (10/5/2024) a flood emergency after six districts and 28 villages were affected in the regency, Southeast Sulawesi.
The emergency status followed a previous natural disaster alert issued on 3 May 2024, according to antaranews.com.
The floods initially impacted Tambakua Village in Landawe District and Linomoiyo Village in Ohoe District, resulting in road closures, including a national road, without house submersion.
Regent Ruksamin has planned an evaluation meeting to address the ongoing flood situation, emphasizing collaboration with relevant institutions.
He said that village heads have received disaster training to respond effectively.
