Inp.polri.go.id – North Sumatra. North Sumatra Police and its ranks reports they have uncovered hundreds of drug cases throughout the province from 12-18 September 2023.
“For a week we have arrested 457 suspects of drug crimes from various region in North Sumatra, with 9 being the users and 362 as the couriers,” said South Sumatra Police spokeperson, Grand Commissioner Adjutant Sonny Siregar on Monday (9/18/2023).
He explained that the hundreds suspects are from the 351 drug criminal case uncovered by the police.
“From their hands, we have confiscated a total of 9.8 kg of methamphetamine, 104.3 kg of weed, 51 of marijuana trees, and 163 ecstasy pills,” he said.
Other than confiscating the drugs, police also confiscated a cash of IDR 61.268.000 from drug selling, 68 motorcycle, 6 cars, 170 handphones, 52 electric scales, and 52 bongs.
“The confiscation is part of our commitment in depauperate the drug criminal suspects in North Sumatra,” he said after emphasized that his party continues to uncover drug crimes in the region.
“We are not playing around in our commitment of eradicating drug crimes in North Sumatra. We will aslo act on those who dare to back this criminal act,” stressed the police chief.
