Pamekasan Sub-regional Police investigates the truck rollover incident at the excavation mine site C, Lesong Daya Village, which resulted one person died due to the accident. In his statement, Head of Pamekasan Public Relations, First Police Inspector Sri Sugiharto explained that his party have summoned the owner of excavation mine site C for questioning. “According to the Sector Police report, several parties have been questioned regarding the incident, both communities who has the knowledge of the incident and the owner of the excavation site,” he said quoted from Antaranews on Sunday (9/17/2023). Sugiharto adds that the incident at the excavation site was not the first time. Similar accidents also occurred back in November 2022. The accident occurred due to the trucks unable to get into the excavation site and rolled into the bottom of the 15 meters deep excavation. Furthermore, he reveals that the coal truck driver named Abdur Rohman (45) from Sampang died because of the incident that occurred on September 15th 2023 at 16:30. “We are also coordinating with related institutions of Pamekasan officials regarding the excavation mine site C permit,” said Sugiharto. The Lesong Village excavation mine site C is one the 300 sites that spreads across 13 sub-districts in Pamekasan. “We have installed police line at the incident site and forbid the public to get near because the police is still investigating the case,” he conclude.
