Inp.polri.go.id - Medan. The North Sumatra Police Chief, Inspector General Agung Setya Imam Effendi, Acting North Sumatra Governor Hassanudin and the Commander of the Bukit Barisan Military Command Major General Mochamad Hasan, inspected a polling station in Medan Kota on Wednesday (14/2/2024).
The inspection aimed to ensure the safe, comfortable, and peaceful conduct of ballot casting and voting in the 2024 elections.
Observations at the location showed the warm welcome of the community towards the delegation during the ballot casting process. During the bist, Acting Governor Hassanudin distributed chocolates to the voters at polling stations.
"We are here to ensure that the ballot casting process in Medan City, North Sumatra, proceeds peacefully and safely," said Chief Agung.
The Chairperson of the Polling Station Committee (KPPS), Hendrik, revealed that the ballot casting process with a total of 269 Registered Voters proceeded very safely at the polling station.
"We express our gratitude to the military and police personnel who have helped to provide a sense of security at this polling station. The enthusiasm of the voters has been extraordinary in exercising their voting rights," he said.
