Inp.polri.go.id - Tarakan. North Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya and h the Commander of the Maharajalila Regional Military Command Major General Adek Chandr, inspected the Tarakan Penitentiary to oversee the police personnel securing the five special polling stations within the premises on Wednesday (14/02/2024).
"The voting process has been conducted smoothly, orderly, and safely, ensuring the successful implementation of the election," he said.
Chief Daniel said that security personnel need to prioritize their health during the lengthy hours after the voting process. Therefore, comprehensive security measures are crucial, necessitating good health.
:We've learned from previous elections, which were highly susceptible," he said.
Certain polling stations, particularly those in Krayan and Kayan Hulu, are considered demographically vulnerable. However, the distribution of election logistics has proceeded smoothly. Voting processes in vulnerable areas will span more than one day, hence the selection of young and healthy police personnel.
There are five special polling stations in Tarakan Penitentiary, with 1,110 registered permanent voters, 164 additional voters, and 38 special voters.
