"As of Thursday (9/21), airport activities remain normal, even though there are airlines that did not operate flights to Oksibil today," he  told antaranews.com on Thursday (21/9/2023). The Bintang Mountain Sub-regional Police have issued security guarantee for essential flights such as those by Susi Air with the Wamena-Oksibil round-trip route and Smart Air with the Tanah Merah-Oksibil round-trip route. The provision of flight services depends on the operator's decision to continue or suspend operations. Superintendent Bayu Suseno, the Commander of the Damai Cartenz Task Force, said that the security situation in Oksibil is currently relatively stable. The Damai Cartenz Task Force on patrol was ambushed earlier on Monday, leading to an exchange of fire that resulted in the death of First Brigadier Rudi Agung Ashari. Later that evening, two residents were reported to have been shot while in their homes, and on Tuesday a civil servant was shot and assaulted, sustaining injuries. The KKB was reported to have set fire to stalls and homes of residents, according to AKBP Bayu Suseno, the Spokesperson for the Peaceful Cartenz Task Force. (mg/inp/pr/nm)
