Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A fire at Marina 20 Pier, Ancol, North Jakarta, on Saturday night  claimed one life and left five others with burns, officials confirmed on Sunday (9/2/2025).

"One victim, identified as T, died, while five others—R, H, MT, MZ, and I—suffered burn injuries," said Gatot Sulaeman, the Head of Operations at Jakarta North and Thousand Islands Fire and Rescue Agency, as quoted by antaranews.com.

The victims include four crew members and a tanker truck driver. The fire was likely caused by a fuel spill igniting during refueling, he added.

The agency received the fire report at 10 pm and deployed 10 fire trucks and 26 personnel. Firefighters battled the flames until 5.28 am, with damages covering 160 square meters and estimated losses reaching Rp 6 billion.
