inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that his party will conduct Operation Ketupat from March 13 to March 25, 2026. Hundreds of thousands of joint personnel will be deployed to secure and serve the public traveling home for Eid.

Sigit made this statement while leading a cross-sectoral coordination meeting regarding Operation Ketupat's readiness at the PTIK Building, South Jakarta, on Monday (3/2/2026).

"This year we are implementing Operation Ketupat from March 13 to March 25," said Sigit.

Sigit explained that this year's tagline is "Safe Homecoming and Happy Families." In its implementation, Sigit said, preemptive and preventive measures, along with law enforcement, will be prioritized.

Sigit also revealed that the operational structure has been established, with minor changes. This ensures that the Special Operations Chief, led by the Traffic Corps Chief, can truly control all ranks when making discretionary decisions.

Meanwhile, Sigit stated that 161,000 joint personnel were deployed in Operation Ketupat to maximize security and public services during the Eid homecoming and return flows.

"There are 161,000 joint personnel, consisting of police, military, relevant agencies, and all stakeholders. And we certainly hope they can work together optimally to ensure the success of both the homecoming and return flows," Sigit concluded.
