Inp.polri.go.id - Pacitan.  The Pacitan District Court sentenced Ayuk Findi Antika to 18 years in prison on Tuesday (10/9/2024) for the premeditated murder of Rizqi Saputra by poisoning his coffee with cyanide.

The verdict was delivered by Presiding Judge Erwin Ardian, who declared the defendant, identified as Ayuk Findi Antika, guilty of planned murder, as charged by the prosecution. 

Ayuk poisoned her neighbor, Rizqi, a student at an Islamic school (MTS). It was part of a larger crime spree, with Ayuk also found guilty of theft. The case drew significant attention due to the method used—cyanide poisoning.

The courtroom was tense as Ayuk remained silent after hearing the sentence. The victim's family, overwhelmed with emotion, accepted the decision with heavy hearts.

Both the defense and prosecution have been granted seven days to consider appealing the verdict, which was two years less than the prosecution’s demand of 20 years under Article 340 of the Criminal Code for premeditated murder.
