Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi clarified at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday (8/4/2026) that the government has held no formal discussions regarding a cabinet reshuffle or proposed salary reductions for ministers and lawmakers, despite ongoing budget efficiency reviews.
"There have been no discussions regarding a reshuffle or salary cuts up to this point," he said during a press briefing in Jakarta reported by antaranews.com.
State Secretary Prasetyo explained that while President Prabowo Subianto conducts daily evaluations of cabinet performance, these assessments are standard administrative procedures intended to ensure all agencies meet their targets.
He added that routine performance reviews should not be misinterpreted as imminent personnel changes, as the administration remains focused on continuity and executing current government mandates, clarifying public speculation that potential budget reallocations to cover energy subsidies might impact high-level official compensation.
