Inp.polri.go.id – Papua. Papua Regional Police committed to provide security for the people during the religious holidays, both Islam and Christians, by conducting security operations continuously. “Security provided in various conditions and situations, including in the religious holidays such as Christmas and Easter for Christians and Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr for Muslims,” says Papua Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Mathius D. Fakhiri on Thursday (3/28/2024). The important thing in providing public security and order is to maintain strong relationships between religious communities in the province, particularly in Jayapura Regency. Fakhiri also conveyed his gratitude for the well maintained situation in the province due to the good relationship between communities. Police is actually the back-line of security as the community is the one who are at the fore-front in maintaining the security situation. People are implored to look at each other and protect one another to build a better Papua in the future. “Papua has to be build with heart, harmony, and tolerance so that our province development can be easily realized which eventually leads to the prosperity of our people,” conclude Fakhiri.
