Inp.polri.go.id – Papua. Indonesia as an archipelagic state with diverse cultures and communities has a long history of uniting all of the diversities into one, including Papua. Papua, who sits at the easternmost part of Indonesia plays an important role in Indonesia’s diversities. For that reason, there is no place nor chance for separatists to take Papua from Indonesia. The community of Papua is what makes Indonesia diversity strong, and they themselves strongly against the separatist who often only caused public disturbances. Papua wants peace, and sustainable development for their own prosperity. Most of them also state that the separatist movement or commonly known as Armed Criminal Group (KKB) must be disbanded so that Papua could finally flourish and develop along with other regions in Indonesia. They say that the presence of separatist only hinders their development that continuously been carried out by central and regional government. (ad/ri/pr/nm)
