Inp.polri.go.id - Pekalongan. The Pekalongan Regency Sub-regional Police are intensifying their investigation into a shooting targeting Amat Muzakhim (56), the husband of Central Java councillor Nur Fatwah.
The incident occurred late Saturday at the victim’s residence in Kedungwuni. Forensic teams recovered a projectile from the terrace, which is currently undergoing ballistic analysis at the Central Java Regional Police Forensic Laboratory to determine the weapon type and caliber.
“Based on CCTV footage and the trajectory, the shot was aimed upward rather than directly at the victim, suggesting a deliberate act of terror,” said Pekalongan Police Chief Superintendent Rachmad C. Yusuf on Sunday (15/2/2026), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The projectile reportedly struck the upper porch ceiling before ricocheting toward the garage. While no injuries were reported, authorities conducted a two-hour crime scene processing to identify the perpetrator's motive.
Police leadership, supported by regional criminal investigators, remains on high alert to uncover whether a firearm or a modified air gun was used in the intimidation attempt.
