Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto departed from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base on Monday (16/2/2026) for a high-stakes diplomatic mission to Washington D.C. 

The President is scheduled to meet U.S. President Donald Trump on 19  February 2026 to sign a Reciprocal Trade Agreement (RTA) and attend the inaugural Board of Peace meeting. 

“Every economic policy the government pursues must promptly yield concrete benefits for Indonesia and reinforce our national industrial foundation,” President Prabowo said during a strategic briefing with economic ministers prior to his departure, as cited by antaranews.com

Accompanied by Minister  of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, the President aims to ensure Indonesia secures favorable terms in upcoming negotiations. 

The mission follows an intensive coordination meeting at the President's Hambalang residence, focusing on long-term economic stability. By prioritizing measurable national interests, the administration seeks to solidify Indonesia’s position as a key strategic partner to the United States.
