The wildfire has become the main culprit for the worsening air condition in Pekanbaru, Riau, quoted the official statement of The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) on Monday (10/2/2023). People has been advised to wear face mask while outside for BMKG particulate meter data is at 80. According to BMKG, the air quality in Pekanbaru has fluctuated since yesterday with the worst air condition at 04:00 Monday morning. Meanwhile, Pekanbaru BMKG states that the thick fog in the city on Sunday was due to the wildfires in Pelalawan. The smoke then infiltrated the city and negatively affect the air condition of the city. The smoke also caused several flights to be delayed on Sunday, but going back to normal by Monday, due to limited visibility. “Everything’s good.
