The Area Manager of Communication & CSR for Pertamina Patra Niaga, Central Java Regional, expressed their appreciation for the firm action taken against the perpetrators of subsidized LPG misuse.
"In the current global energy situation, we greatly appreciate the decisive action taken by the Indonesian National Police (INP). Disclosing this case of subsidy misuse, which is detrimental to the state and the public, is crucial to ensuring that LPG circulation is not scarce. We fully support the ongoing legal process, and we hope that other regions will receive similar attention from the police," he said, Wednesday (4/8/2026).
Various preventative measures have been implemented, one of which is the LPG Appropriate Subsidy program, which ensures the distribution of subsidized 3-kg LPG cylinders only to eligible individuals.
Through the official website, the public can check the nearest authorized depot and ensure that LPG purchases are made from a location with guaranteed authenticity.
Pertamina, along with law enforcement officials, will continue to collaborate to prevent, monitor, and take firm action against any misuse of subsidized energy.
"We must all work together to combat practices like this, as they can lead to shortages and harm the wider community," said Taufiq Kurniawan.
