PT Pertamina Patra Niaga West Java Regional Office (JBB) officially held a Gas Station Safety Man Training to support operational safety improvements and service quality at all regular gas stations (Basic & Pasti Pas). The Gas Station Safety Man Training is part of the implementation of the Pertamina Way 2.0 Certification.

Pertamina Way 2.0 introduces a new element: the requirement for each gas station to have one Safety Man, a dedicated officer responsible for safety aspects at the gas station.

Through this program, gas station supervisors are appointed and directly trained to assume the role of Safety Man in their respective units.

Decky Pratama Hermana, Officer I of Fuel Operations at Pertamina Patra Niaga JBB Regional Office, stated that this training demonstrates the company's readiness to provide safer and more reliable gas stations.

"The Safety Man training is a strategic initiative from the Retail Sales function to ensure that each gas station has a dedicated officer who understands and is able to actively and measurably manage occupational safety aspects," he said, as reported by Antaranews, Monday (7/14/2025).

The training material includes classroom sessions on safety aspects, risk identification, and emergency response procedures, as well as field practice in the form of a fire extinguisher simulation. In addition to fulfilling the Pertamina Way 2.0 audit standard, which took effect on May 1, 2025, this activity is also expected to foster a strong safety culture at the operational level.

He further expressed his hope that this training would reach more gas station workers and hopes to continue the training.

"Hopefully, programs like this can be provided to all workers, so that everyone understands HSSE aspects and is equipped to work more safely," he explained.
