Responding to that issue, several personnels from the Directorate of Samapta East Kalimantan Regional Police (Polda Kaltim) were dispatched to help the community.
The personnel was seen swiftly managing the traffic and helping push stuck vehicles.
Not only that, but the officers also cleaned clogged drains and helped people who were injured because of stepping on sharp objects.
The Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of Polda Kaltim, Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., said that the deployment of Polri personnel to assist residents is part of the State presence in helping its citizens when they need assistance.
"Police personnel is a reflection of State’s presence in helping residents who are affected by the floods," stated Kabid Humas Polda Kaltim.
