inp.polri.go.id - The Riau Islands Police (Polda Kepri) established a Supervision Task Force (Satgas) to prevent the spread of Mouth and Nail Disease (FMD) outbreaks in livestock in the local area.
"We will move quickly by forming a Supervision Task Force. The task force will be under the auspices of the Special Criminal Directorate of Polda Kepri," explained the Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of Polda Kepri Harry Goldenhardt in Batam, Thursday (12/05/22).
Commissioner Harry Goldenhardt explained that the Task Force will also involve other stakeholders such as the Office of Agriculture, both at the provincial and district/city levels.
"So, we have been asked to help monitor the development of the FMD outbreak. We will immediately hold a working meeting to establish the task force,” said the Intermediate Officer of the Riau Islands Regional Police.
The formation of this Task Force is an instruction from the President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) Joko Widodo to the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit some time ago. This task force was formed to prevent the spread of FMD outbreaks in livestock.
