inp.polri.go.id - Polda Metro Jaya appealed to the public not to do parade in the eve of Eid al-Adha 1443 Hijriah.
The Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Commissioner Endra Zulpan said the appeal is part of an effort to anticipate the spread of Covid-19.
"I think in the current situation, amidst the current pandemic, we should have not hold gathering events such as takbiran night parade," said Commissioner Endra Zulpan in Jakarta, Friday (08/07/22).
He adds that this appeal is in line with government’s Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) level one policy.
"We are following the health protocols related to PPKM Level 1. Polda Metro Jaya is working with related parties to uphold this policy," said the Intermediate Officer of the Polda Metro Jaya.
He said that the police would act if they found that people were still carrying out takbir night parade.
"We will give them warning and make them understand why they should have not done that amidst the pandemic. Other than that, we also control every gathering activity to adhere to the PPKM Level 1," concluded the Akabri graduate in 1995.
