Haidar said this in response to the statement of the Head of the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK), Ivan Yustiavandana, who acknowledged the excellent performance of the police in enforcing the law in online gambling cases.

"I agree with PPATK. The high negative sentiment towards the police is answered with achievements. The success of the police in enforcing the law in online gambling cases deserves appreciation," he said in a statement received in Jakarta, quoted by Antaranews on Sunday (4/27/2025).

According to Haidar, throughout 2024, the police managed to uncover 1,611 online gambling cases involving 1,918 suspects and filed for the banning of 126,448 online gambling sites.

Of these cases, 343 cases have been resolved, while the remaining 1,243 cases are still under investigation.

Haidar also invited all parties; starting from families, neighborhoods, the media, financial institutions, educational institutions, and the government, to increase participation in preventing online gambling.

"Eradicating online gambling is the responsibility of all parties. The Indonesian National Police are on the right track in enforcing the law. In order for the eradication of online gambling to be more optimal, the success of the police must be balanced with massive prevention measures," he said.
