Police Announced 12 Wanted People Who Assault Construction Workers in West Papua

inp.polri.go.id – The West Papua Regional Police has announced 12 names of wanted people on the attack and murder of four civilians. Head of Public Relations of the West Papua Police, Commissioner Adam Erwindi, said that the determination of the 12 wanted people was based on the Police report Number: A/155/IX/2022 SPKT Teluk Bintuni Police, West Papua Police. The perpetrators attacked workers on the construction project for the trans Bintuni-Maybrat route. The perpetrators of the attack and murder are Martinus Aisnak, Frengky Muuk, Tom Aimaun, Manfret Fatem, Imanuel Aimau, Willy Sakof, Thomas Muuk, Marthen Aikingging, Mathias Aisior, Barnabas Muuk, and Sutiawan Orocomna. "For the people of West Papua who know or know the whereabouts of these 12 suspects, please come and immediately report it to the nearest police post," he said, Friday (7/10/22). Previously, the Director of General Criminal Investigation of the West Papua Police, Commissioner Novia Jaya, stated that Manfret Fatem was suspected of being the mastermind behind the attack on 14 workers of the trans-West Papua road construction project, on September 29th, 2022. The attack by an armed criminal group against the 14 workers on the Trans West Papua road construction project occurred on Thursday, September 29, 2022. The attack caused the deaths of four construction workers and injured several others. The four dead workers are Abbas, Armin, Darmin, and Yafet. Commissioner Novia Jaya said one worker who was having severe gunshot wounds was undergoing treatment at the Makassar City Hospital, South Sulawesi. "Eight other survivors have been returned to their families, while one survivor (the cook) is still undergoing treatment at the Teluk Bintuni Regency Hospital due to an injury in the knee," Commissioner Novia concluded.
