The Bali Police Ditsamapta personnel together with the Search and Rescuae (SAR) team evacuated people who trapped by floods due to heavy rains that poured in parts of Denpasar City, Saturday (10/8). Director of Bali Police Samapta unit, Commissioner Radjo Alriadi Harahap, have deployed his personnel to help evacuate the flood victims in two different locations, in Pura Demak Street and in Nakula Street. The Bali Police Chief added that after receiving reports from the community, the team was dispatched to the location and immediately carried out the evacuation process with SAR team. "The joint SAR team, consists of personnel from the Bali SAR, Denpasar BPBD, the Communication Center of the National Police, Potential SAR Radio 115, and the local community," said Commissioner Radjo Alriadi. In a different location, the Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police, Commissioner Satake Bayu, said at 06:50 WITA, the joint SAR team had succeeded in evacuating 19 people from Pulau Demak Gang III street, Denpasar City. Then, at around 07:30 WITA, the SAR team evacuated other 10 people from Demak Gang Detan Temple street, Denpasar City. In another place, precisely on the outskirts of the Tukad Mati River, Badung Regency, dozens of officers from the Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Service, until 13:40 WITA, continued to pump water from several points of floods to be channeled into the river. At least there are six large pumps that continue to operate around the Legian Kuta area, Badung Regency, such as in the Dewi Sri Krisna, Dewi Sri 1, Eka Waloya Street, and in the neighborhoods of Dewi Sri Camuhan. According to residents and officers working in the field, the water pumping started at 08:00 WITA. As of now, the pump continues to operate and the remaining puddles of water on the road have begun to decreased to around the knees of adults.
