inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto expressed his appreciation for the role of the Indonesian National Police (INP), particularly the West Java Regional Police, in supporting the success of national corn self-sufficiency. This appreciation was conveyed during the Grand Harvest and Food Self-Sufficiency Awards.
West Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Setiawan stated that INP's support is focused on security, mentoring, and strengthening synergy between farmers and stakeholders.
"We fully support the corn self-sufficiency program by ensuring a conducive security situation, smooth distribution of production inputs, and a feeling of protection for farmers," said Rudi Setiawan on Wednesday (1/7/2026).
He added that the success of corn self-sufficiency is part of the national security strategy, as emphasized by the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
"Food security, including corn, is part of national security. This aligns with the President's directive to eliminate Indonesia's dependence on imports," he emphasized.
With increased national corn production and zero imports of feed corn, Rudi stated that Indonesia is on the right track toward sustainable food self-sufficiency.
