inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) stated that the Indonesian National Police (INP) is capable of tackling robbing cases by utilizing technology.
"I think with today's advances in society, with advanced technology and so on, I think the police are capable of eradicating street crime. Moreover, the police are personally supported by technology and equipped with sophisticated equipment," explained Kompolnas Commissioner Mohammad Choirul Anam, Tuesday (6/2/2026).
He said that CCTV cameras have been installed in several locations. Furthermore, the public can report muggings directly to the police through the hotline at 110.
"For those who have information about muggings, please communicate directly with the police at the lowest level," said Anam.
With these two factors, INP can still handle mugging cases. Furthermore, the police have experience in solving significant mugging cases.
"Therefore, it is important that we encourage and support the police to ensure our security and well-being," said Anam.
Recently, police arrested three members of a robbery gang operating under the guise of slander and assault on Jalan Daan Mogot, Cengkareng, West Jakarta.
