inp.polri.go.id - East Java. The East Java Regional Police have arrested a pastor with the initials DKBH (67 years old) from Sukorejo, Blitar City, who is suspected of sexually abusing three minors from 2022 to 2024.
The Head of Public Relations for the East Java Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Jules Abraham Abast, explained that the case came to light after the victims told their parents.
The victims' parents are known to be church attendants and already know the suspect. He and his three children lived in a room at the church from 2021 to 2022.
Based on the results of the investigation, it was revealed that the suspect frequently committed these depraved acts in various locations, alternating with the victims at different times.
"The results of the suspect's examination indicate that the immoral acts allegedly took place between 2022 and 2024 in several private locations," he said, as reported by suarasurabaya, Wednesday (7/16/2025).
The priest frequently committed his acts in places like the office, bedroom, swimming pool, family room, and even took the victims to a homestay. The suspect committed his depraved acts by touching their sensitive body parts.
Meanwhile, the Director of Criminal Investigation of the East Java Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Widi Atmoko, explained that the perpetrator used seduction to harass the victim and offered no reward.
He further stated that the lengthy process of naming the pastor as a suspect was due to investigators having to gather sufficient evidence to elevate him to a suspect status.
Suspect DBH (67) has been detained at the East Java Regional Police Detention Center since July 11, 2025. For his actions, the suspect is being charged under Article 82 in conjunction with Article 76E of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 17 of 2016 concerning Child Protection.
