inp.polri.go.id - Palu. The Central Sulawesi Regional Police recorded 375 drugs crime cases between January and July 2025. Of these, 161 cases have been resolved, while 214 are still under investigation.
The Head of Public Relations of the Central Sulawesi Regional Police, through the Head of the Public Information Sub-Division of the Central Sulawesi Regional Police, Superintendent Sugeng Lestari, stated that of these hundreds of cases, 457 people have been named as suspects. Of these, 404 are male and 53 are female.
"This high number of suspects indicates that drug abuse and distribution in Central Sulawesi remains at an alarming level. The police continue to intensify prevention efforts and take action against drug distribution and user networks," he said, as reported by media.alkhairaat, Wednesday (July 16, 2025).
He further revealed that in addition to arresting suspects, authorities also secured various types of evidence. Among the seized items were 48,665.6248 grams of methamphetamine, 1,113.12 grams of marijuana, and 134.13 grams of gorilla tobacco. Furthermore, police also confiscated 125,632 Class G narcotics.
