Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The North Sumatra Regional Police's Narcotics Directorate arrested a man, identified as FRLG (35), from Deli Serdang, for allegedly possessing 14,431 ecstasy pills.
The suspect was arrested while riding a motorcycle on Flamboyan Raya Street in Medan on Wednesday (31/1/2024). Subsequent searches at his residence uncovered the significant stash of drugs that led to the confiscation of 27 kilograms of ecstasy pills and one kilogram of crystal methamphetamine, antaranews.com reported.
“The operation followed a tip from members of the community about suspected drug possession in the area,” said Head of Public Relations Unit at theNorth Sumatra Police Senior Superintendent Hadi Wahyudi in his statement.
Subsequent searches at his residence uncovered the significant stash of drugs.
FRLG, now a confirmed suspect, faces charges under the Narcotics Law. The police had recently arrested seven individuals for alleged drug couriering, seizing 7.3 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine at Kualanamu International Airport in Deli Serdang.
