inp.polri.go.id - Bangka Belitung. The Bangka Belitung Regional Police's Special Criminal Investigation Directorate took action against mining and forest destruction activities in the Betung Sambung Giri Hill Production Forest Area, Merawang District, Bangka Regency.

From the results of the law enforcement, three people were successfully arrested at the location.

Head of Public Relations of the Bangka Belitung Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Fauzan Sukmawansyah, confirmed the information on Monday (8/25/2025).

"We have received information that there was action carried out by the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate on Sunday, August 24th against mining and forest destruction in the Production Forest Area in Bangka. There were 3 suspected perpetrators who were secured, namely Ro (48) as the manager and owner of heavy equipment, Af (20) as Helper and No (56) as the operator of heavy equipment," explained the Senior Superintendent Fauzan Sukmawansyah.

In addition to apprehending the three suspected perpetrators, the police also secured two excavators and a set of mining equipment and supplies from the location.

"All three are currently at the police headquarters for further questioning," said Fauzan Sukmawansyah.
