inp.polri.go.id - East Java. Police have arrested a junior high school teacher in Tuban Regency, East Java, identified as F (43). Suspect F was found guilty of sexually assaulting his 14-year-old student.

The Head of the Tuban Sub-regional Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Police Senior Inspector Dimas Robin Alexander, stated that the suspect committed two sexual assaults in May 2024 in a field.

To carry out his depraved act, the suspect used deception by inviting the victim for a walk. Upon arriving at a deserted location, F committed the sexual assault.

"The suspect's last act was discovered by the victim's parents. They were looking for her at the time," he said, as reported by suaraindonesia, Monday (8/18/2025).

The victim's parents subsequently reported the series of incidents to the Women and Children's Services Unit (PPA) of the Tuban Sub-regional Police Criminal Investigation Unit.

After receiving the report, the police immediately conducted an investigation, questioning witnesses and gathering evidence, leading to F's arrest on May 23, 2025.

"Officers conducted a series of investigations, questioning witnesses and analyzing evidence, and then conducted a case conference. The perpetrator was named a suspect in the case, and the suspect was subsequently arrested for further investigation," he explained.

The suspect was charged under Article 82 in conjunction with Article 76E of Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning the Stipulation of Government Regulation in Lieu of Law Number 01 of 2016 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection to Become Law.
