inp.polri.go.id. - Jakarta. Police ensures that all detainees at the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Detention Center (Rutan) are in good condition and have their needs met. This includes Delpedro and a number of activists involved in alleged provocation of anarchic actions.
The Director of Detention and Evidence (Tahti) of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police, Superintendent Dermawan Karosekali, also denied that the detainees were on hunger strike.
"They were given meals three times a day and have been checked by a nutritionist, so we are paying close attention to them. So, if anyone says that there is currently a hunger strike, we will reassure you that there is no hunger strike," he explained, Friday (9/19/2025).
He added that there are also CCTVs in each detention cell to monitor detainee activity 24 hours a day. According to him, CCTV monitoring did not reveal any hunger strikes.
"Because we have CCTV installed in all the cells, and it's visible 24/7. And the food we prepare from morning to afternoon is always consumed properly. Nothing is left over," he said.
