inp.polri.go.id - Tasikmalaya. The Tasikmalaya City Environmental Agency (DLH) is monitoring the environmental impact of the Ciangir Final Disposal Site (TPA), which people have complained about polluting the river water and causing fish to die in the surrounding area.
"All procedures are being monitored, including the impact on the ground," said the Acting Head of the Tasikmalaya City DLH, Hanafi, as reported by Antaranews, Friday (9/20/2025).
Meanwhile, the Acting Head of the Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) for the Ciangir TPA Management, Deni Indra, added that he did not rule out the possibility of impacts from the problem of the TPA's activities.
However, he said that the Ciangir TPA management continues to make improvements to minimize the impact and will meet with the community to discuss the issue.
He said that the Ciangir TPA is currently preparing a filtration system to reduce the effects of leachate, which has been accused of being the main cause of environmental pollution.
"We acknowledge that there are impacts that have occurred, so we are currently doing our best to mitigate this issue, and we intend to meet with the locals to discuss solutions," said Deni Indra.
