inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Narcotics Investigation Center (NIC) Task Force has uncovered an ecstasy drug trafficking ring in North Sumatra and Lampung. This discovery led to the arrest of two suspects, Ridho Yogi Pratama and Riyans Fitra Mubaroqah.

"Investigators also confiscated 9,450 ecstasy pills," said the Director of INP NIC, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, Tuesday (11/17/2025).

He explained that the disclosure began in mid-October 2025 when the team received information that there would be a drug transaction in the North Sumatra region, controlled by the Riau and Lampung networks.

Then, the team conducted an investigation into the network and discovered that on November 15, the network in question would conduct a transaction in the North Sumatra region.

“On Monday, November 17, 2025, at approximately 09.30 am, the team saw a car suspected of being the target and at 10.30 am, the team stopped te car on Ngumban Surbakti street, Kwala Bekala, Medan Johor District, Medan City, North Sumatra, but the target managed to escaped,” he explained.

He explained that during the chase, the target threw away evidence which was then secured by the team on the side of the road, namely a black bag containing three black plastic packages containing ecstasy narcotics.

Next, the team pursued the target car and it was discovered that the target car had changed its license plate number to escape.

On the KM 91 toll road towards Kisaran, he said, the team stopped the car. However, they continue to drive and resisted the arrest by crashing into the officers. In facing the dangerous situation, police officers had to take firm action by shooting and disable the target car.

"At KM 92, the car stopped as we shot the car tires, resulting them to hit the toll barrier. The two targets then fled towards the palm oil plantation under the road," he said.

At 11:45 WIB, he said, the suspects, Riyans Fitra Mubaroqah and Ridho Yogi Pratama, were arrested at around 1:15 pm after escaping into the palm oil plantation for approximately 1 hour. After being arrested, a gunshot wound was found on the left arm of the suspect Ridho Yogi Pratama who was then taken to Bhayangkara Tebing Tinggi Hospital for treatment.
