inp.polri.go.id - Langsa. The Indonesian National Police (INP) reaffirmed its commitment to post-disaster recovery, particularly in the education sector. 

In this humanitarian action, Langsa Sub-regional Police personnel, along with the teachers of Junior High School 2 Langsa, clean up the school affected by flooding in Langsa City, Aceh Province.

Flooding caused by extreme rainfall on November 26-27, 2025, resulted in standing water and mud in several areas, including the yard and classrooms of Junior High School 2 Langsa. 

Although the floodwaters have receded, the remaining mud covering the school area has the potential to hinder the teaching and learning process.

As a demonstration of concern and a swift response to this situation, on Monday (12/29/2025), Langsa Sub-regional Police personnel went directly to the location to begin the cleanup. 

Using simple tools such as hoes, shovels, and wheelbarrows, the police personnel and teachers worked together to clear the mud from the yard and classrooms so that the facilities could be quickly re-used.

The help provided by the authorities received appreciation from the school. The principal of the school, Abdul Muthalib, expressed his gratitude for the police's concern on Sunday (1/4/2026).

"I would like to express my gratitude to the police, especially the Langsa Sub-regional  Police personnel, who were willing to help clean up the mud after the flash flood hit our yard and classrooms," he said.

The Langsa Sub-regional Police will continue to collaborate with relevant agencies and the community in disaster management and post-disaster recovery efforts, ensuring that educational facilities and infrastructure can be quickly restored and teaching and learning processes can resume normally.
