inp.polri.go.id - East Kalimantan. The East Kalimantan Regional Police's Narcotics Directorate has successfully arrested a man with the initials HZ (40), a resident of Karang Mumus, Samarinda City, with evidence of 1 kg of crystal methamphetamine and 2,560 ecstasy pills found at his house, Tuesday (8/26/2025).
The arrest of HZ began with the development of a previous case, namely the arrest of suspect HE in the Mahakam 2025 Antique Operation series.
Information obtained from HE stated that there were still other illegal goods stored by his relatives, so the police team conducted an in-depth investigation which culminated in a raid on HZ's house.
"During the search, members found 1,001.57 grams of crystal methamphetamine packed in plastic clips, thousands of ecstasy pills of various brands, as well as three bags, one cellphone, and two digital scales which are suspected of being used to support distribution activities," said the East Kalimantan Regional Police's Narcotics Director, Senior Superintendent Bambang Yugo Pamungkas, Thursday (8/28/2025).
HZ admitted to the police that all the evidence found by the police belonged to him.
"HZ obtained the narcotics from someone named Een. We are still developing this case to trace a wider network," he explained.
The suspect and the evidence are currently being held at the East Kalimantan Regional Police Headquarters. The police emphasized that they will continue to intensify drug eradication operations to protect the public, especially the younger generation, from the impacts of illicit drug trafficking.
