inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Directorate of Narcotics Crimes of the Indonesian National Police (INP) arrested two foreign nationals from Malaysia and China along with 1.7 kilograms of Happy Water confiscated.
"This case was uncovered after the Sub-Directorate I team of INP Criminal Investigation Agency received information that narcotics would enter Indonesia by air," said the Director of Narcotics Crimes of INP Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, Thursday (8/28/2025).
Eko explained that based on this information, the operational team immediately coordinated with Soekarno Hatta Airport Customs and Excise and arrested Malaysian citizen Muhammad Ridzuan Cheng (41). He was arrested while carrying 1.7 kilograms of narcotics in a pink box on Monday (8/25/2025) upon arrival at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
The suspect admitted that someone asked him to deliver happy water to the suspect Wei Sihao (28), a Chinese citizen who lives in an apartment in Pademangan District, North Jakarta.
"From the statement of Muhammad Ridzuan Cheng, he was ordered by someone with the initials B to deliver the illegal goods to the apartment," he explained.
On the other hand, Head of Sub-Directorate I of the Narcotics Directorate, Senior Superintendent Erlin Tan Jaya, said that his team continued the investigation by monitoring delivery of the illegal goods.
"The joint team that had monitored the apartment saw a suspicious man standing next to the tower and then the team managed to secure the recipient of the Happy Water, namely a Chinese citizen with the initials WZ (28)," said Erlin.
The suspect Wi Zhiao was then arrested on Tuesday (8/26/2025) at 05.10 p.m. He was then taken to the police for further investigation regarding the perpetrator's network above him.
