Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) ’s Psychology Bureau and the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police have continued psychosocial assistance and trauma recovery for victims of the SMA 72 high school explosion in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta.

“This support will be ongoing. We want to ensure all victims and families receive adequate psychological care as the joint investigation continues,” said Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto on Sunday (9/11/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.

Police psychologists provided psychological first aid at  RS Islam Jakarta Hospital Cempaka Putih, RS Yarsi Hospital, and SMA 72 high school,  focusing on emotional recovery, stress management, and a sense of safety. Counseling was also extended to teachers and school staff affected by the blast.

Chief Hermanto confirmed that 26 victims remain hospitalized across several facilities, while most have been discharged. Renovation of the damaged school area is underway to ensure a safe return for students.

He added that trauma-healing programs and counseling sessions will continue for at least two more weeks.
