Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Police Senior Superintendent Gidion Arif Setyawan, Chief of the North Jakarta Sub-Regional Police, announced the deployment of 250 personnel to secure the re-run election at 17 polling stations on February 18, 2024.
He emphasized that the security measures would encompass all aspects, from the distribution of logistics to the voting process.
"Personnel previously stationed at the polling stations on Wednesday (14/2/2024) have been recalled and will be tasked with overseeing the re-run election," he stated.
Earlier on Sunday, theGeneral Elections Commission (KPU) in North Jakarta organized a re-run election at 17 polling stations due to logistical damage from flooding.
"We convened a plenary meeting on Wednesday, 14 February, and agreed to hold a re-run election on Sunday, 18 February," stated Abie Maharullah Madugiri, Acting Chairperson of the KPU North Jakarta.
He elaborated that the re-run election would take place across two neighborhoods, namely Pegangsaan Dua Sub-District, with 5 polling stations, and Sunter Jaya Sub-District, with 12 polling stations.
