The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police have deployed thousands of personnel to secure two presidential and vice-presidential campaign events scheduled for tomorrow (10/2/2024). Police Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam, Head of Metro Jaya Regional Police's Public Relations explained that 2,356 personnel are stationed at Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), while 2,755 are stationed at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK). "The security personnel consist of members from the Metro Jaya Regional Police, North Jakarta Sub-Regional Police, West Jakarta Sub-Regional Police, South Jakarta Sub-Regional Police, East Jakarta Sub-Regional Police, Central Jakarta Sub-Regional Police, Jakarta Military Regional Command (Kodam Jaya), Jakarta Provincial Government, and Jakarta City Government," he said on Friday (9/2/2024). He emphasized the importance of participants in the campaign events prioritizing national unity, thereby ensuring the 2024 elections are conducted peacefully, safely, and with dignity.
