The North Kalimantan Regional Police have deployed personnel to secure the 2024 Elections at the General Elections Commission (KPU) and Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) offices in Tanjung Selor City, Bulungan Regency. Police Senior Superintendent Budi Rachmat, Head of the North Kalimantan Regional Police's Public Relations, emphasized that ensuring a safe and peaceful democratic process is their top priority during both the campaign and polling periods, on Thursday (8/2/2024). "We are committed to providing maximum protection for all involved in the election process, including KPU and Bawaslu officers. Security is crucial for democracy's smooth functioning," he said. The North Kalimantan Regional Police will also intensify patrols around the KPU and Bawaslu offices and offer additional security if necessary. "This is to ensure effective collaboration in maintaining security throughout the general election process," he said.
