The Metro Jaya Regional Police deploys thousands of personnel to secure the massive election campaign of one of the presidential candidates in Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Jakarta. “The security for the campaign in GBK on Saturday February 3rd, 2024, involved 2,579 personnel,” said the Metro Jaya Regional Police PR Chief, Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam in his written statement on Friday (2/2/2024). The PR Chief says that the thousands of personnel are the joint forces of police, military, regional government, and city government. People were also urged to comply with the law to ensure everything goes smoothly. Meanwhile, Ade informs that the traffic engineering for the campaign security adapted to the situation on the field. The election campaign in GBK reportedly attended by 134,000 supporters and presents a performance from one of Indonesian famous band, Slank, to enliven the event. (ad/ay/pr/nm)
