Inp.polri.go.id - Mandailing Natal. The Mandailing Natal Sub-regional Police eradicated a five-hectare cannabis plantation in the Tor Mangompang hills of Pardomuan village, Panyabungan Timur Subdistrict, after a five-hour search .
SuperintendentReza Chairul Akbar Sidiq, Chief Mandailing Natal Police, reported that the six-month-old cannabis plantatiation, consisting of an estimated 50,000 two-metre-long cannabis plants weighing about 15 tonnes, was immediately eradicated on the spot.
"The cannabis plantation discovered was approximately six months old. We estimate that there were approximately 50,000 cannabis plants, each two metres long, weighing a total of 15 tonnes. The plants were immediately incinerated on site. Some samples were taken to the Mandailing Natal Police Station as evidence," he said on Tuesday (7/11/2023)
The police chief said that investigations into the discovery of the cannabis plantation are ongoing, including efforts to locate the owner, who was not present at the site during the discovery.
"This is our commitment, a pledge I've made since I am in charge in Mandailing Natal, to eradicate the distribution of drugs within the Mandailing Natal Police jurisdiction. We seek the support of the public for the success of every operation we undertake," he asserted.
